North Korea expressed anger over South Korea's statement that the country could launch a preventive attack against the North Korean nuclear facilities. South Korean Defense Minister Kim Tae-young said the attack could happen if there are signs North Korea preparing a nuclear attack.
Responding to the statement, North Korea said the move was regarded as a declaration of war, as reported by the official news agency of the country. North Korean news agency also reported that the country ready to launch a quick military action and determine if the neighboring countries really attack.
Tensions between the two countries increased after Pyongyang withdrew from the six-nation talks on its nuclear program in April 2009.
